Nodes of Acceptance

Deadlines approaching, enthusiasm receding; series of events lined up and stinking; pending relationship goals and excitement on furlough...familiar right? And then our conscience shakes us with 'JUST DO IT' and 'ACCEPTANCE' comes into picture.

Acceptance is a person's assent to the reality of a situation that tends to bring us at peace with the process or that condition.

Acceptance is a person's assent to the reality of a situation that tends to bring us at peace with the process or that condition. We no longer strive to change it or protest against it.

We are taught that everything happens for a good valid reason, so accept things wholeheartedly. Some of us may have conflicting viewpoints. But think at once, when things are beyond our purview why not accept them that way? The universe can't work as per our comfort zone, knowing that why we hate showing acceptance? Don’t look for peace rather make peace with the conflicts and the resistance you are offering. Once you accept it that way, peace would follow.

We keep on switching between hell and heaven – good and bad days, one following the other. It’s meant to be that way. Nothing would change with our protests against it. The universe is governed by energies, positive as well as negative. The energy we give out comes back to us in an amplified form. Our thoughts and actions determine the energy we are passing on to the universe.

To start with acceptance, accept yourself first. Accept your looks, your skin, your soul and your thoughts; accept everything you know of oneself. Self-acceptance comes with your understanding and your consciousness. The more you’ll evaluate oneself, the more conscious you’ll become. Self-acceptance is the foremost step towards becoming recovered you, a better version of oneself – the conscious and responsible one.

Sometimes situations are worse. We keep on trying to accept things, changing ourselves, holding on and hanging there, exhibiting our strengths but things don’t work out. Then comes our consciousness at rescue. In such exceptional cases bolder decisions are to be taken. If it’s raining, let it be but if it’s a cloudburst, you better land onto some safer place.
